The Duel: begins with the Queen's Funeral March, and insertions of armoured fighting into the procession into the lists in preparation for the judicial duel. The combatants were Free Scholler and Scholler . This excellent video was recorded by AEMMA's video chronicler, Peter Yu. | (5.7MB) |

Rules of Engagement: Scholler , one of two martials administering the duel, ensures that the arms and armour and the engagement is understood by both combatants. David utilizes a spear to assist in the administering of the engagement. | (6.6MB) |

The Battle Rages: beginning with longsword fighting. The swords "sing" when struck and parried, the fight is brutal and the spectators cry out in anticipation of the final blow. It is during the longsword that David's vambrace is compromised by a blow from Anton's sword. A temporary fix is made by the second martial, Free Scholler . | (6.6MB) |

The First Disarm: The fight continues after the temporary repair to the vambrace. Neither combatant appearing to yield and the intensity of the engagement heightens. It is here that David deploys the first disarm, and relieves Anton of his trusted longsword. Anton, not intending to give up, resorts to his rondel dagger. | (7.0MB) |

The Second Disarm: The fight continues with David striking Anton with the longsword, and Anton, defending himself with only his dagger, manages to snag the longsword and delivers a surprising thrust to the visor, stunning David momentarily. David, now swordless, also resorts to dagger. However, God is on the side of David, and Anton is defeated with a take-down and dagger to the head. | (7.5MB) |
