David M. Cvet along with volunteer Scholler Phil Groff, delivered a 1.5 hour presentation on "How a man shall be armed in the 14th century" to approximately 130 students of their Grade 7 and 8 classes on January 20, 2004 at Havergal College, Toronto, ON - an independent school for girls.
The presentation was scheduled in the morning period before their lunch period and was held in the school's excellent theatre.
The presentation included detailed description of the arms and armour of a 14th century knight while David was dressing up in the armour. During this portion of the presentation, questions from the audience were fielded by David and Phil, which included such questions as "How heavy is the armour"? "How heavy is the sword"? "How do you go to the bathroom when wearing the armour?" and so on. The presentation was similar in content with the presentations delivered to the ROM. At the conclusion of the presentation, a video of AEMMA's production of "The Duel" showing a representation of a 15th century judicial armoured duel which were periodically held in Germany of the period. The video was filmed at Orangeville's Jousting Tournament in July 2001.
