How a Man Shall Be Armed in the 14th Century

David M. Cvet, president and founder of the Academy, delivered a 1.5 hour presentation on "How a man shall be armed in the 14th century" to approximately 250 students of their Grade 4,5 and 6 classes on February 26, 2004, 1:30 - 3:00pm in the gymnasium at Donwood Park Public School, Scarborough. The presentation was scheduled in the afternoon period after their lunch period.

The presentation included detailed description of the arms and armour of a 14th century knight while David was dressing up in the armour. During this portion of the presentation, questions from the audience were fielded by David, which included such questions as "How heavy is the armour"? "How heavy is the sword"? "How do you go to the bathroom when wearing the armour?" and so on. The presentation was similar in content with the presentations delivered to the ROM. At the conclusion of the presentation, a video of AEMMA's production of "The Duel" showing a representation of a 15th century judicial armoured duel which were periodically held in Germany of the period. The video was filmed at Orangeville's Jousting Tournament in July 2001.
