The Academy offers a core training program that addresses two objectives: (1) to resurrect and reconstruct historical European/Western medieval martial arts; (2) to provide instruction and training in the development of personal defensive and offensive skills. For newcomers to training, we recommend you review and familiarize yourself with the training program and the equipment requirements for recruits. Training at AEMMA occurs 3 times weekly, Monday and Wednesday evenings comprised of two (2) classes, the first class beginning at 6:30pm for recruit level of training, followed by the schollers and senior student's training at 8:30pm. Sundays, schollers and senior students train at 9:30am till noon, followed by recruit training from noon till 3pm.
AEMMA is comprised of dedicated individuals, whose contribution and efforts will ensure the continuing evolution and development of European medieval martial arts. For reviewing key individuals that make up AEMMA, selected biographies are available for individuals who possess the rank of "scholler" and above.
The location for training is on the 2nd floor at 927 Dupont Street, Toronto, ON Canada, SE corner at Dupont St. and Concord St. The first floor is occupied by the "Master Mechanic". The salle's entrance is to the left side of the building on Dupont (the door is clearly marked with "FACT" info.
