Symbolism: The colouring Sable, a bend Or between in chief, was chosen as homage to the earliest references to a heraldic grant to Robert Goodfellow (referenced in the Domesday Book). A lion rampant Or armed and langued Gules holding between the forepaws, a heart Gules was actually chosen for several reasons: two being maternal Scottish ancestry, and the obvious reference to Fiore D' Liberi. The heart Gules is partly in reference to Liberi and also particularly because after the scholler test itself Brian McIlmoyle said I showed "heart". The three-masted square-rigger ancient ship proper with five oars Gules in base is for "The Odyssey" of Homer which is of particular import to me both as literary metaphor as well as having a certain spiritual significance.
