| Description: | Alte Kampfkunst evolved from the original school "Die Freifechter" and therefore, has a similar goal, that is to reconstruct historical fencing through the study and application of techniques sourced through historical treatises. The interest is centered on the German tradition of fencing working with longsword, German rapier and sabre. The work extends to the study of the sword & buckler based on the study of the I.33 Tower Fechtbuch. Stefan and his collegues have been working and studying historical fencing for more than 10 years and together created Alte Kampfkunst in order to expand their capabilities and training by training others in these fighting arts in the German tradition. |
